Camp Heartland Youth Mission Trip,
June 14 to 17, 2005
The 2005 summer
Youth mission trip was at
Camp Heartland from June 14th-17th.
This was the 4th year St. Johns has sent youth to volunteer at this
site.
Camp Heartland is a year-round camp and retreat center
serving youth affected by HIV/AIDS.
They arrived
early in summer to order to help prepare the camp. The theme for the
trip was “Strength,” and they discussed various ways we can be strong
both in our society and as Christians. Their Bible verse came from
Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be
dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
