Sesquicentennial Rally Day and Spaghetti Dinner

From September 2010 through September 2011, St. Johns marked the joyful celebration of its sesquicentennial as a parish. On September 11, 2011, the culmination of our sequicentennial celebration began with a commemorative worship experience. As we recalled that this day was the somber 10 year anniversary of the tragic events of 9-11, we focused on God’s mission and our role in it. During the 10 am worship, special music was offered by a Dixieland band. At 11:15 AM we processed out to the front lawn for a sesquicentennial photo, and then enjoyed the fellowship of a community spaghetti dinner on the lawn.
