AFINNET and All Saints Church Updates
May 2011
Updates from AFINNET (the African Friends in Need Network) in Mityana Uganda, as well as our sister church in Uganda, All Saints Church in Busimbi, Uganda:
Images 1 through 8: Maswa Primary School at Minana Village, an All Saints outreach site that includes a small medical clinic staffed by Simon, a school teacher and nurse. At the village, Canon Michael presents to the community a photo of Jack and Betty
Kee, who had generously made a major donation for mosquito netting. Medical kits donated by the St. John's Ugandan mission team were also presented to the community. Canon Michael also bought sugar canes for the hungry students as their lunch. These students normally stay at school without lunch.
Images 9 through 13: Donations by members of St. Johns have allowed the purchase of 55 bags of cement and the pouring of a cement slab foundation for an extension to All Saints Church Busimbi.
Images 14 and 15: Donations by members of St. Johns have allowed the purchase of 20 new sewing machines and helped AFINNET meet wages and salaries for AFINNET workers.
