If you or a loved one is (or will be) hospitalized, please contact the church personally. Federal privacy laws prevent hospital employees from informing us of the reason for hospital admissions, so we don’t know whether a parishioner has been admitted for something quite serious, such as a ruptured appendix, or something less serious. Also, hospitals may tell us when a patient has been discharged, but they do not tell us to where or to whose care. We don’t want to lose track of our flock, especially at a time when pastoral care can be so vital!
