The Artists
Anna Makarenko, soprano
Despite the fact she is still a student at the St. Petersburg conservatory (the highest level of musical education in Russia) Ms. Makarenko already has much opera singing experience as a member of the School of the Vocal Mastership by Mariinsky Opera House in St. Petersburg.
Olga Guseva, mezzo-soprano
Ms. Guseva graduated from St. Petersburg conservatory as an opera singer. Since then she has pursued a career presenting solo recitals across Europe and collaborating with different choirs and orchestras on the continent.
Sergey Tupitsyn, tenor
Though Mr. Tupitsyn graduated in 1994 from St. Petersburg conservatory as Choir Conductor, he has also had postgraduate studies at the St. Petersburg High School of Economy (2000). From 1992 - 2000 he was a singer of the "Konevets" male choral quartet, performing over 1,000 concerts in different countries of the world. Now he spends his time as both a singer and a manager of LYRA.
Jury Gerasimov, baritone
Mr. Gerasimov graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of Culture in 1998. Now he is a Principal Conductor in the Transfiguration Cathedral, one of the main cathedrals of St. Petersburg. He has had much experience in performing Russian and European medieval music permanently taking a part in various seminars and festivals both in Russia and in Western European countries.
Miroslav Alexeev, bass
Mr. Alexeev is one of the eldest members of LYRA. Having a very deep voice, he often sings as special guest soloist in many of the choirs of St. Petersburg.
