Kids Hope USA at St. Johns
Kids Hope USA at St. Johns
God our Father, you see your children growing up in an unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways give more life than the ways of the world, and that following you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

One Child, One Hour, One Church, One School
One Child One Hour
At the heart of Kid’s Hope USA is one caring adult mentoring one at-risk child for one hour every week. A child who feels loved and valued is better able to learn, grow, and succeed.
One Church One School
The mentors of Kid’s Hope USA come from one church community which operates and funds the program. The children come from one school. Because the Kids Hope program is provided free of cost for schools, it meets the urgent need of educators for intervention without breaking their budgets.
You Could Be the One
The opportunity is vast. The need is great. The idea is simple. One Child, One Hour, One Church, One School. You could be the one.
Mentors, Prayer Partners, and Donors
Mentors
The adult mentor meets with a child for one hour each week at the school to tutor the child, as well as provide love and support. For many children, this hour is one of the most treasured of their week. That is why some kids have been known to come to school sick on their "KHUSA" day because they don't want to miss their One Hour.
Prayer Partners
Prayer partners pray for the mentors, the children and the child's family and life situation.
Donors
The church community coordinates the program and must also fund all the costs of a Kid’s Hope USA ministry. Donations are always welcome.
