Good Grief Group
O merciful Father, who
hast taught us in thy holy Word that thou dost not willingly afflict or
grieve the children of men: Look with pity upon the sorrows of thy
servants for whom our prayers are offered. Remember them, O Lord, in
mercy, nourish their souls with patience, comfort them with a sense of thy
goodness, lift up thy countenance upon them, and give them peace; through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
-
Book of Common Prayer, p. 831 From "For a
Person in Trouble or Bereavement"
Blessed
are those who mourn
for they
will be comforted
(Matthew 5:4)

Welcome!

All of us struggle with
grief from time to time in our lives. Death and loss are a part of life,
but journeying through grief and mourning are often easier with the
support of others. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, the loss
of a relationship, a job, or any type of loss, we invite you to join the
Good Grief Group at St. John’s. This support group is facilitated by the Rev. Joanie and Fr. Andy. We
meet the third Wednesday of each month from
7:30 pm to
8:30 pm in the parlor (after the
Holy Eucharist at 7 pm). Come find hope and healing for
your heart. All are welcome!
