Grief / Transitions Group
O merciful Father, who hast taught us in thy holy Word that thou dost not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men: Look with pity upon the sorrows of thy servants for whom our prayers are offered. Remember them, O Lord, in mercy, nourish their souls with patience, comfort them with a sense of thy goodness, lift up thy countenance upon them, and give them peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Book of Common Prayer p. 831 From "For a Person in Trouble or Bereavement"
Blessed are those who mourn
for they will be comforted
- Matthew 5:4
Welcome!
All of us struggle with grief from time to time in our lives. Death and loss are a part of life, but journeying through grief and mourning are often easier with the support of others. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, a job, or any type of loss, we invite you to join the Grief / Transitions Group at St. John’s. This support group is facilitated by the Deacon Rick. We meet the third Wednesday of each month from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the parlor (after the Holy Eucharist at 7 pm). Come find hope and healing for your heart. All are welcome!
