Camp

Heartland

Eight youth and three adults will be participating in the mission trip at Camp Heartland from June 11th to June 15th.  We will be preparing the grounds for the campers to use during the summer. Camp Heartland is a camp for children who are impacted by HIV/AIDS. If you are not able to attend, please keep our work in your prayers.

Senior

High

Pool

Party

Please join us at Anne Moertel’s house in Arden Hills on Sunday, June 22nd at 5 pm for swimming fun. Please sign up on the board in the parish hall if you plan to attend so that we can prepare the right amount of food. This event does require a permission form. Please see Alison or Anne if you need directions.

Junior

High

Marketfest

Overnight

The Junior High group will be having an overnight on Thursday, June 26th. We will gather at the church at 5 pm for a pizza dinner before we all explore Marketfest as a group. We will then come back to the church for games and a movie before bed. We will have an 8am wake up call so parents can pick up their children before their workday begins.

Please sign up in the Parish Hall by June 22nd if you would like to attend. You must turn in a permission form to participate in the event.

Parent volunteers are needed for Marketfest chaperoning. Safe Church trained volunteers are needed for the overnight.

CLEC

Our parish currently has twenty-two individuals signed up to participate in various sessions at Cass Lake Episcopal Camp this summer. If you are planning to go to camp and your name is not on the list posted outside of Alison’s office, please add it to the list. Our Episcopal Church Women were able to provide scholarships to all of the youth that applied (fifteen in total).  I hope all of the people attending a session this summer have a wonderful experience. If you or your parents have any questions about CLEC, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Sunglasses

for

Heartland

The Junior High youth group is attempting to collect 40 Sunglasses for children at Camp Heartland who do not own a pair. They will be collecting sunglasses in the parish hall and in Alison’s office. If you are willing to get a pair of sunglasses for youth aged 6-16, please add it to the collection box. We will be collecting through June 10th.

BINGO

We will be taking a BINGO break for the summer. Please consider joining us for a game or two in the fall. Your help is always appreciated.

Youth

Group

A reminder that in September we welcome the new sixth graders into the Junior High youth program and the eighth graders move up to the Senior High youth program. We will be planning some social activities in late summer to help with this transition.

Rite 3.5

Planning

Meetings

There are two intergenerational meetings planned for any youth or adult interested in helping to plan a Rite 3.5 service for Sunday, June 22nd at 10 am.

Carrie Thomas will be meeting with interested individuals on Wed. June 11th and Wed. June 18th at 6 pm. If you are interested in helping to create this special liturgy please plan to attend one or both of these meetings.

Congratulations to

our

Seniors!

Thank you for all of your contributions to the life of this parish. Some of you have served as Acolytes, Ushers, and Lay Readers, while others have provided us with special music and leadership in various youth programs. As you continue on your journey, know that we are all grateful for the time you spent with us and look forward to seeing you as often as possible.
