PENTECOST IS MAY
19
Fifty days after Easter,
the disciples were gathered together in a house (legend says it’s the same
house where they had the Last Supper), when suddenly the room was filled with a
mighty wind, and tongues of flame appeared on their heads, and they were filled
with the Holy Spirit. They ran out into
the streets, telling the Gospel message of Jesus, in many languages. All the people who were there, from many
parts of the known world, heard the Good News in their own language.
We’ll celebrate the Feast of the
Holy Spirit (Pentecost) on May 19.
-
Wear something red, the liturgical color of the day.
-
This will be the last Sunday of Sunday School and adult
education until next fall
-
The Sunday School children will sing during the 9:00 service

The Gospel will be read in many languages simultaneously,
re-enacting the scene in Jerusalem on that first Pentecost.
Call or e-mail the office or

don’t have access to a foreign-language Bible.
