HILL HOME INGATHERING

On May 19, the Outreach Committee is again sponsoring a “shower” for the Hill Home and Family Violence Network, a refuge for women and children fleeing an abusive relationship.  The Hill Home is located in White Bear Lake.  Last year’s ingathering resulted in nearly $3,000 worth of supplies.  The magnitude of our gifts overwhelmed the staff at the Hill Home.

Their needs are:  sheets (twin and double bed size), towels and washcloths, buckets, mops (wet and dust), brooms, hot pads, scrubbers, dish cloths and towels, dish/dishwasher soap, sponges, terry hand towels, can openers, spoons and spatulas, paper towels, Zip Lock bags, dustpans, wastebaskets, laundry baskets, tall kitchen garbage bags, hand soap (liquid and bar), storage containers, all-purpose cleaners, laundry detergent, fabric softener sheets, and diapers.  All items should be new.  They will be given to each woman as she leaves the shelter to set-up a new home.

Please bring your gifts to the Parish Hall on Sunday, May 19.  Call Pam Burg with any questions.
