Confirmation: Our congregation has a great deal to celebrate.  We have seven youth from our parish that will be received or confirmed into the Episcopal Church this month.  Please join us at St. Mark’s Cathedral on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. for the Confirmation service.

This group has focused on four areas: parish life, service, self-examination, and Christian education to get ready for this step.  Each young person was matched with a mentor to help guide him or her in this Confirmation process.  Please join me in thanking the mentors, parents, and young people for all they accomplished.

The Mission Trip for our Senior High Youth Group has been set for Thursday, August 1 through Tuesday, August 6.  We will travel to Willow River, Minnesota, to help clear a trail and build footbridges for Camp Heartland.  Camp Heartland is a summer camp that serves children from all over the United States who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

Please sign-up in the Parish Hall if you plan to attend.  Alison needs your $20.00 deposit for the summer trip by June 15^th.  We are being provided with free room and board in exchange for our work, so the cost for this trip will be low.

We will work on site from August 1-5 and take August 6 as a play day at a location yet to be determined.  This trip is open to young people entering 9^th Grade through College, and to interested adult chaperones.  Please talk to Alison if you have any questions.
