The Voice of St. John in the Wilderness, May 2002

ADULT EDUCATION

“Christology” is the theological term for the study of the questions: “Who was Jesus?” and “What role did he play in the divine plan?” In May we will finish our series exploring the answers to these questions using Father Raymond E. Brown's (Auburn Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Biblical Studies at Union Theological Seminary NYC) An Introduction to New Testament Christology, Paulist Press, 1994.

The tentative schedule is:

  • May 5: Who was Jesus of Nazareth? An Introduction to Christology 6. Christologies Expressed in Terms of Jesus' Public Ministry.

  • May 12: Who was Jesus of Nazareth? An Introduction to Christology 7. Christologies Expressed in Pre-Ministry Terms.

  • May 19: no meeting (Pentecost)

  • May 26: summer schedule begins

Our meetings are held in the Parlor from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Everyone is welcome!

The St. John in the Wilderness Adult Education and Formation web site at www.StJohnAdultEd.Org has information on past, present and upcoming series and the latest schedule.  If you ever want a copy of the handout, or would like to review the overhead transparencies used in a presentation, you can simply download them from the web site.
