E.C.W. GRANTS

The following grants were approved at the January 31, 2002, E.C.W. meeting:

• The ECW will provide a grant to any student from St. John's who wishes to attend Cass Lake Camp. The grants do not pay for the entire cost of the camp, but they offset a major portion of the costs.

• A grant was made to St. John's Library.

• Two grants were made to Children's Ministry; one for Celebration Sunday, the other to maintain and replenish the "Quiet Bags" for church services. A few additional items were purchased for the kitchen and a grant was made to help with the cost of the new office furniture.

• The following organizations also received grants:

  • Fr. Andeweg Institute for the Deaf,

  • Families Moving Forward,

  • Home of the Good Shepherd,

  • The University Episcopal Center,

  • Forwards for Prison Ministries,

  • Episcopal Community Services,

  • the Diocesan ECW,

  • Epilepsy Foundation,

  • Marie Sandvick Center,

  • Union Gospel Mission and

  • J.C. Ministries.

All the grants were made possible from the proceeds of the Holiday Bazaar and Rummage Sales. We appreciate your support of the Bazaar and Rummage Sales by donating items.
