Senior High Youth are encouraged to take part in the Diocesan Convention Youth Event taking place in Duluth the weekend of October 24th-26th. Youth will be staying at the Holiday Inn and spending time at Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center and Canal Park. The cost of the event is $50 and scholarships are available. Besides the cost of the event, you will need to bring money for meals for the weekend. Please contact Aron Kramer if you have questions or need a scholarship at 218-724-3535 x12.  A big thank-you to all of the Junior High youth who helped prepare and serve the Out to Lunch meal for September. Special thanks also to Katheryn Schneider and Sandy Watson for coordinating the afternoon and providing adult help in the kitchen.

Pizza

and

Prayer

On October 15th during our usual youth group meeting time (7-8pm) we will be ordering pizza and trying out different kinds of prayer. Please sign up in the parish hall if you plan to attend youth group on this night, so Alison knows how much pizza to order.

Reminder

You are always welcome to bring friends to youth meetings and events.

Senior

High

Coffee

Hour

At last month’s youth ministry committee meeting the youth in attendance decided to create a space for Senior High youth to socialize after Sunday morning services. Look for the lime green tablecloth in the parish hall at the next coffee hour (Oct. 12th) and join the group. If you have other ideas as to how you would like to use that space and time, please talk to Nate Beske, Kyle Domin, or Elizabeth Schmit.

Weekends

The TEC weekends are almost here. Great North TEC will be held in Hibbing Oct 16th-19th and is open to youth in 9th-12th grade. St. Paul TEC is from Nov. 14-16th and is open to those in 10th-12th grade. If you are interested in attending a TEC for the first time, please call Alison to receive forms. We have a large group of youth that participate in the weekends and are also available to answer questions. Here is what some of them have to say about TEC.

“T.E.C. is an amazing religious weekend filled with lots of exciting surprises and great friendships.  The things I got out of my first T.E.C. were, a deeper knowledge of God, a lot of great new friends and a very fun weekend.”

                        -Kyle Domin

“T.E.C. is a unique experience with results that will last a lifetime.”

                        -Anne Moertel
