Rector

We will be welcoming our new priest, The Reverend Mark Kelm on Rally Day, Sunday September 7^th.

One of our youth, Marissa Mahanna, sat on the search committee and was involved in the interview and selection process. She put a lot of time and energy into the committee and represented the youth very well. Marissa stated that Father Mark impressed her because, “He has a lot of energy and seems to be focused on the church.”

Rally Day will be your chance to sign up for the youth programs this year. Please bring your parents up to the youth room after the 10 am service on September 7^th to register for Junior and Senior High events. I will look forward to seeing you there!

6TH

GRADERS!!!

We look forward to your involvement in the youth programs at St. John’s. You are invited to join in on the Pre-Confirmation/Sunday School classes taught by Katheryn Schneider during the Education Hour. Just head upstairs and take a left into the youth room. Classes start on September 14^th.

You are also encouraged to join the Junior High youth group. We meet every Wednesday night from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the youth room beginning on Wednesday, September 10^th. The Junior High youth group is a mix of hands on activities, social time, and discussion. Hope you can join us!

There will be a meeting on Sunday, August 24^th from 6-8 pm for last year’s Senior High Youth Group. We will be cleaning up the youth rooms and planning how we would like to welcome this year’s ninth graders into the youth group. Please call and let Alison if you will be attending.

WELCOME

9TH

GRADERS!!!

There are plenty of opportunities for those of you entering 9^th grade. The two year confirmation program begins with an overview meeting on Wednesday Sept. 10^th from 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm for you and your parents. Classes will continue on Wednesday nights from 6:15 - 7:00. You will receive more information, your syllabus, and class materials at the parent meeting. Your parents will be receiving a letter explaining more about the program.

You are also encouraged to attend Senior High Youth Group. We meet the 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of every month from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The first hour is structured and then the second hour is for socializing time. Please join us on Sunday, September 14^th at 6:00 pm for our first meeting of the school year.
