HOUSE GROUP 101 for LENT

A special Lenten program has been planned to afford an opportunity to those members of our parish who would like to “wet their toes” and sample the workings of a “house group”. This program will run for five consecutive Thursday evenings, beginning the first week of March and ending just before Palm Sunday.

The Rev. Andy Jensen will lead the group using a study entitled “Powers & Principalities”. The texts are excerpted from several of Paul’s letters, and will focus our attention on the various forces at work in the world that are very worrisome and beyond our control. The thrust of the program will be to examine what means we have to maintain a sense of joyful Christian living while in the midst of a world that is threatening terror and destruction.

This program will be held at the church on Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It is an “ad hoc” program, meant simply to introduce the house group experience and at the same time provide a Lenten opportunity for the parish. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the Parish Hall. Therese Branby or Dave Seitz will be happy to answer any questions about the program.  Sitters will be provided for those with children who may wish to participate in this program.
