Thursday
Youth
in grades 8-12 are encouraged to participate in this year’s Maundy Thursday
service and all night watch. Senior High youth will be using part of their
youth group time on Sunday, March 28th
to put together the Maundy Thursday reflection service and details about
the overnight, eighth graders need not attend the planning meeting. Maundy Thursday overnight will begin at
6:00pm on Thursday, April 8th and will end at 10:00am on Friday,
April 9th. This event is
strongly encouraged as an important piece of Confirmation preparation.

Lock-In
It’s
a long way off, but mark your calendars
for the night of Friday, May 7th for a Junior High Lock in on
“Friendship.” We’ll have activities, games and discussions all focused on
learning how to be a good friend.

Youth
Group
A reminder that in
Lent, the Junior High Youth group will start their meeting each Wednesday by
going to the prayer service at 7. When the service is done, we will meet in the
youth room until 8. We are exploring Faith Questions during the season of Lent,
which will make for some interesting youth group discussions.

Relationships
The
Senior High Youth Group will be discussing dating/relationships at our March 14th
youth group meeting. We tend to have the highest attendance on this night,
though I have no idea why.

Christ
A reminder that the Great North TEC weekend
will be held in Duluth on March 19-21. We have thirteen people attending. Katelynn
Pope has been selected to be a team leader for Northern.
Applications to attend a St. Paul TEC are
also being accepted. St. Paul TEC is being held April 16th-18th.
Kyle Domin has been selected to be the Youth Director for the weekend and
Jordan Warchol will be leading the Kitchen team.
If you are a high school student and would like to sign up to
attend TEC for the first time, please call Alison at church ASAP.

Confirmation
Banquet
A
big thank-you to Katheryn Schneider, Lynn Gadbois, Tim Hammond, Sandy Stevenson,
Ann Watson, Adam Gadbois, Tyler Canterbury, Vicki Canterbury, Henry Schneider,
and Peter Schneider who volunteered at the Confirmation Banquet. The food and
decorations were wonderful and it was so nice to have help with the clean up as
well. It was wonderful that we were able to gather together to celebrate the
important step our Confirmands; Anne Moertel, Muriel Gilbert, and Rachel Ford,
made in their faith.

T-shirts
The youth group are ordering “St. John’s
Youth” T-shirts. They are blue and gold with a lightbulb design reading
“Shine!” and our youth group name. T-shirts cost $10 and can be ordered
through Alison before March 20th.
Checks should be made out to St. John in the Wilderness.
